“I’m supporting Erin because her vision for Salt Lake City is a city I want my two grandchildren to live in. She has been on the job for six years thinking about what could be and learning how to manage and motivate the people and the organization within the City to make things happen. Salt Lake City is often smothered by bad air. Erin has put improving air quality at the top of her list and has the academic and non-profit experience to be effective. This means improvements in transportation, roads, building designs, and, yes, planting 1,000 trees on the west side each year. Her focus on finding ways to develop affordable housing solutions for exploding growth in the City is also a top priority. Erin wants to lace the whole city together into a place where services and business are distributed throughout so seamlessly that the notion of east side and west side just disappears.
