“Erin is my candidate for Mayor because I’ve seen her vision and grit up close for years. She has worked with me on dozens of issues over the years that benefit the humanities and arts, as well as on community projects. I’ve seen her bring diverse and often disagreeing stakeholders together on projects. She has a unique ability to to get people to sit down and figure out how to improve a complicated situation. She knows exactly how municipal government works and whenever I’ve come to her with a need, she is able to figure out how to make it happen.
“SLC needs someone who not only cares about roads and sewers, arts and humanities, clean air and diversity but knows how to make change happen.
“Erin worked inside City Hall for three years to increase funding for the city’s public art program and this week, the Council voted to grow the percentage of capital improvement project funds that go to art from 1% to 1.5% — a huge win for the arts community and for our city. As mayor, Erin has pledged to make this increase permanent.
“I’ve seen Erin work to advance the rights of all and I am excited to see what she will do as Mayor.”
